Illuminate UK - Education - Time Travelling Teachers Workshop.
A drama teacher and actor come to your school to deliver 1 hour 30 minute workshops using drama and storytelling as a means to explore People in the Past topics.
The actor appears for the class in character and costume, sharing with the children their stories and answering their questions about what it was really like in an air raid shelter or being a little queen sailing from Scotland to France.
Our expert drama teachers will then enable the children to become characters from the stories and to explore feelings and ideas while wearing costumes from the period. The workshop ends with the children presenting their scenes and ideas to the period 'character'.
